Twitter Tweet
For a long time now, whenever Twitter has come up in a conversation, my contribution has mostly just been to say in a slightly obnoxious voice: ‘But what’s the point of it?’
I remain somewhat baffled by Twitter but have now decided to sign up ( at http://twitter.com/Alex_Bell86), which just goes to show that there’s no point in paying any attention whatsoever to my opinions because they are simply just too changeable. I decided to give Twitter a go, partly because I feel left out and want to know what all the fuss is about, and partly because . . . well, I am inherently egotistical. If Twitter can be utilised as another medium for voicing my multitude of opinions, likes and dislikes, thoughts and feelings then that’s got to be something worth investigating, right?
Having said that, I am currently still a little confused by Twitter. It seems to have its own language - one that I am not at all familiar with. And, not being the most tech savvy person in the world, I have so far failed dismally in my efforts to upload a photo. But, um, hopefully I’ll be able to work it all out soon.
Assuming I’m able to figure out how it works, I may then suddenly get the whole point of it, and completely embrace the magnificence that is Twitter. Or I may still remain nonplussed, shamefully neglect my Twitter page and still be that person who says ‘But what’s the point of it?’ whenever the subject comes up at the pub.
